At Salesforce, we're committed to driving Equality in our communities and workplaces. As a Technical Architect for Kubernetes Platform, you'll play a key role in empowering service owners to focus on the unique value of their service without having to worry about infrastructure.

We're looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in SRE/DevOps/Systems Engineering roles. Your expertise will help us build and manage a multi-substrate Kubernetes and microservices platform that powers Core CRM and a growing set of applications across Salesforce.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly innovative and creative team of developers and architects who are passionate about solving complex problems. You'll get to evaluate new technologies, improve automation efforts, and drive improvements to CI/CD pipelines built on Terraform, Spinnaker, and Argo.

You'll be working closely with various Infrastructure teams across Salesforce, collaborating on projects, and developing self-healing mechanisms to proactively fix issues and reduce manual labor. With your skills and experience, you'll make a significant impact on our platform's visibility by implementing necessary monitoring and metrics with Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. 7+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps/Systems Engineering roles
  2. Experience operating large scale distributed systems, especially in cloud environments
  3. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to learn new technologies in complex distributed systems
  4. Strong working experience with Linux Systems Administration and Linux internals
  5. Strong working experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Container Orchestration, Service Mesh, and Networking protocols
  6. Good experience in scripting/programming languages: Python, GoLang, etc., Observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ElasticSearch, and DevOps tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible
  7. Experience with AWS, Terraform, Spinnaker, ArgoCD, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities

In return, you can expect a competitive salary range of $165,600 - $265,200, depending on location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
