Clinician Job Opportunity at The People Concern

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our Housing Supportive Services Program team in Long Beach, CA. As a Clinician, you will provide mental health and recovery support services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness who are formerly homeless.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage members and coordinate mental health and recovery services to ensure housing stability and community integration.
  2. Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to promote independence and improved physical and mental health.
  3. Develop effective relationships with members and their families, with a focus on facilitating independence and maintenance of improved physical and mental health.
  4. Collaborate with each member to develop their individual service plan and review and update it upon completion of goals.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Valid registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Current, valid California Driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle.
  • Able to transport members in your vehicle.
Work Environment

This is a combination of field and office environment position. On occasion, you may need to walk or drive to different agency sites. You may be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise, and odor depending on the work setting. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
