Groomer - Petsense

This role is responsible for providing exceptional pet grooming services to dogs, utilizing knowledge of canine characteristics and grooming styles and techniques.

• Deliver outstanding customer satisfaction by providing personalized pet grooming services.
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments to ensure seamless customer experience.
• Assist in generating business by calling existing and new customers, scheduling appointments, and verifying vaccinations.
• Book appointments and greet pets as they arrive, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Report any accidents or injuries to the Store Manager promptly and follow established safety procedures.
• Follow bathing and grooming procedures as outlined, adhering to company standards.
• Clean ears, clip nails, and perform other necessary services to maintain pets' hygiene and well-being.
• Adhere to customer instructions for clipping patterns and use electric clippers, combs, and shears to achieve desired results.
• Comb and shape dogs' coats to enhance their appearance and overall health.
• Utilize non-physical techniques to keep animals calm and comfortable during the grooming process.
• Complete and maintain customer and company forms accurately and efficiently.
• Properly fill out required grooming forms to ensure accurate records.
• Observe and adhere to all safety rules and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Sweep, vacuum, clean, and sanitize cages, tubs, and other areas as needed to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Assist in store operations as needed, providing support to team members and customers.

• Minimum of 1-year experience grooming or styling pets, with comfort working with dogs and cats.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
• Preferred knowledge, skills, or abilities include operating grooming tools and equipment, communicating effectively with customers, and displaying compassion with animals.

Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise. Exposure to wet conditions, pets, and pet waste is possible. Ability to move and transfer live animals, equipment, and merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
