Traveling Healthcare Professional for Long Term Care

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled healthcare professional to join their team as a long term care nurse in Kodiak, Alaska. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and travel while making a difference in patients' lives.
As a long term care nurse with Tact Staff, you will have the chance to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education to patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education to patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, identify potential problems, and take appropriate actions to address them.
- Document patient information accurately and completely in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during times of crisis or transition.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid RN license in Alaska, at least 1 year of experience in long term care, and a strong background in nursing principles and practices. Additionally, you must be able to work independently and as part of a team, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
