We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials to meet our production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an order expediter to ensure the timely fulfillment of production requirements, prioritizing as necessary to meet changing demands.
- Regularly run from SAP and analyze open purchase order reports to identify and address potential delays or issues that could impact production schedules.
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) messages to adjust delivery dates for purchased parts, effectively pushing or pulling dates to align with production needs.
- Proactively expedite materials by coordinating with suppliers, ensuring that all required materials are delivered on time and according to specifications.
- Resolve a range of issues related to receiving and invoicing, employing both basic and sophisticated problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
- Update order confirmations tabs and maintain accurate records in SAP and the SFM tool, ensuring that all data is current and reflects real-time order statuses.
- Maintain close and effective communication with buyers, providing them with support and assistance in their daily activities and interactions with suppliers.
- Timely escalation of issues to the appropriate parties, ensuring that potential problems are addressed before they can impact production schedules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (desired) or equivalent / High School Degree Diploma
- 2-5 years of Procurement/Supply Chain experience preferred
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required (Excel)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment from office
- Consistently keeps others informed and initiates active exchange of knowledge
