Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Counsel, Employment Law to provide strategic and practical legal counsel for Universal Destinations & Experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide employment law advice and counsel to human resources, management, business affairs, and other internal lawyers across the company on various employment-related matters.
  • Conduct internal investigations of employment-related complaints, ensuring claims are promptly and thoroughly investigated and documented appropriately.
  • Manage pre-litigation processes, including drafting responses to federal and state agencies' charges of discrimination and negotiating resolutions with opposing counsel and/or agencies.
  • Represent the Company in mediation and litigation of employment claims, working with in-house and outside counsel as needed.
  • Create and deliver management and employee training programs to promote a culture of compliance and best practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, staying up-to-date on pertinent federal, state, and local laws and communicating changes and trends to Company personnel.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the State Bar of Florida or another State Bar and registered as in-house counsel.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Employment Law experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to advise a range of personalities and styles.
  • Clear thinker with ability to assess risk and develop effective, efficient, and strategic solutions.
