Program Manager II

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager II to join our team at Sierra Nevada Corporation. As a key member of our Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area, you will be responsible for leading complex programs and projects, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage multiple complex programs and projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, engineering, and operations, to ensure effective project execution.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring program success and minimizing potential losses.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management.
- Typically 3+ years of leading medium-scale project scope, spanning 1-2 years, with teams of 5+ cross-functional members.
- Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with evaluating requests for proposals and/or quotes, preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
- Experience with managing complex projects or larger programs.
- Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
- Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
- Managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile, and/or spiral development models.
- Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management.
