About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team at Ingersoll Rand. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a critical role in building a seamless supply chain and ensuring the highest level of customer service while achieving high inventory turnover at the lowest total cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory/service level fill rates by maintaining appropriate stock levels, including on-hand, safety stock, open purchase orders, and transfer stock.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders according to company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Confirm purchase order information, including price, estimated delivery date, order quantity, and unit of measure.
  • Update the estimated delivery date on a real-time basis with Order Acknowledgements.
  • Expedite PO's as needed with various departments and suppliers to ensure material availability.
  • Maintain and update all relevant planning/MRP data within SAP.
  • Support on all product life cycle related issues, including new product launches, transitions, and end of life, to ensure product availability and reduce the likelihood of obsolete inventory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years relevant experience in inventory management, purchasing, production planning can be substituted for degree.
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred; ERP systems knowledge preferred.
  • MS office proficiency preferred; advanced level preferred.
