We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $93,000 plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus, as well as comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career development and advancement.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Culinary Director to join our team at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations, including menu planning, kitchen management, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative menus that meet the dietary needs of patients and staff
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks, chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food service delivery
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure seamless integration of food service operations with patient care
  • Manage kitchen budgets and inventory to optimize food costs and minimize waste
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to source fresh, seasonal ingredients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited culinary program or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a sous chef or executive chef in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols, with ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
