Job Summary

GSP Companies is seeking an experienced Inventory Clerk to join our team in Finished Goods. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting finished signage and products, verifying correctness and quantities against inventory/customer supplied GTR's. You will also be responsible for properly tagging and storing all received products, maintaining inventory control of all finished products, and notifying appropriate personnel of shortages, damaged or incorrect products received.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to communicate (read, speak, write) in English
  • Pass a proficiency test administered during the hiring process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years high volume order pulling / order entry experience
  • Very detailed oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Computer literate
  • Work well within a team environment to ensure productivity and quality
  • Strong ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Available for weekend work shifts & Overtime
  • Be computer literate, experience in Microsoft office preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required, (must be willing to obtain certification)

Physical Demands:

  • Candidate must be able to commute within their metro area and travel in the United States as needed.
  • PC/Keyboard: Position requires extensive work on computers, using keyboards and viewing monitor.
  • Standing: Remaining in the standing position for lengthy periods of time.
  • Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) of up to 75 lbs.
  • Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear
  • Depth Perception: Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
