Quality Control Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to ensure compliance with established quality standards and perform various quality control tests and inspections on products and materials.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor product formulations during ingredients preparation, document lot information, and perform sensory evaluation of products.
- Monitor forming processing, product identity, weights, and quality of products during the forming process.
- Monitor internal temperature of products off the steamer and document deviations.
- Monitor product temperature off the Spiral freezer, product quality, weights, and organoleptic properties of finish products.
- Maintain and organize filing systems for QA evaluation data.
- Perform environmental and allergen swabbing.
- Review recorded line QC and Production paperwork for accuracy and completion.
- Check Metal detector, X-Ray machine, and Weight checker before packaging start.
- Routine random checks on finish products weight, temperature, and packaging date codes/lots during production.
- Inspect Metal detector/X-ray rejected products for foreign objects and record findings.
- Audit CCP documentation, including reviewing labeling, production, and performing random verification on Metal detector/X-Ray machine during production.
- Audit employee compliance to GMP's, SOP's, and SSOP.
- Inspect incoming perishable ingredients.
- Interact with Production to trouble-shoot quality issues.
- Conduct investigations into non-conforming materials and products.
- Immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues observed.
- Monitor and enforce cGMPs.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in QC or QA.
- Strong knowledge of quality control best practices, test procedures, and applicable standards and regulations.
- Proficient in using various quality control tools and equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer literacy: Proficient.
- Ability to occasionally lift 35-50Ibs.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to walk through production areas.
- 2nd shift.
- Occasionally available to work on weekends.
Pay range: $18.50 per hour. Pay scale is based on experience and education.
Supervisor: QA Manager.
COVID-19: Employees are required to present Covid-19 vaccination or request accommodation in accordance to the law.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
