The Umatilla County Public Health department is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to support the School-Based Health Center (SBHC) located at Hermiston High School.

Job Summary

This position will work in accordance with the 24/25 school calendar, providing clerical and medical support to the SBHC Nurse Practitioner and Qualified Mental Health Professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Clerical Support: Provide administrative assistance, maintain accurate records, and manage electronic health records.
  • Medical Support: Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and medication management under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, teachers, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in secretarial and clerical functions, including proficiency in office equipment and software.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

Consideration may be given to candidates with:

  • Bilingual Spanish language skills.
  • Additional education or training in business or healthcare administration.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $49,832 - $62,704 per year, plus benefits. The estimated monthly salary is approximately $4,156 - $5,226, based on a 12-month calendar.
