Job Summary

Invitation Homes is a leading home leasing company that requires dedicated and innovative technologists to optimize its operations. As a Director of Enterprise Infrastructure, you will lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the team, setting the direction for strategic improvements to systems and platform decisions for infrastructure services used across the company. This includes cloud computing, network design, telephony, system maintenance, support, and planning.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication skills, able to roll up their sleeves and troubleshoot problems. Experience with DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code is a plus. Invitation Homes does not offer employment-based visa sponsorship for this role at this time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of the infrastructure that powers our business
  • Grow and inspire the team through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development
  • Lead 24x7 operations while balancing the team's work-life balance
  • Organize, run, and have accountability for infrastructure projects
  • Oversee the network and infrastructure for all offices
  • Manage operational support for infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the technology team to support ongoing operations and new initiatives
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity problems
  • Work with the Office of the CIO and Technology leadership to develop short and long-term plans and budgets for the infrastructure team
  • Ensure the appropriate governance and controls are in place and appropriate for the risk profile of our company
  • Negotiate with and maintain relationships with key vendors

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience managing infrastructure and automation professionals

Skills and Specialized Knowledge
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure and operational solutions
  • Deep knowledge of AWS and other cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (Terraform a plus)
  • Deep knowledge of network technologies and design (Fortinet a plus)
  • Deep knowledge of Office 365 and hybrid AD
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in networking design, hardware support, and operating systems
  • Knowledge of telecom services delivery technologies
  • Experience building a DevOps culture
  • Experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation
  • Knowledge of information security technologies and best practices
  • Knowledge of applicable practices and laws relating to data protection (CCPA, etc)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate to others at all levels of the organization, including the C-suite
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to meet tight timelines
  • Ability to solve problems, overcome obstacles, and make recommendations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Work well both as an individual and as part of a team
  • Capable of setting priorities based on business impact
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
