Radiologic Technologist to Mammography Specialist Training Opportunity

As a Radiologic Technologist, you have the opportunity to advance your career by enrolling in our Mammography Technologist Training Program. This comprehensive training pathway is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a certified Mammography Technologist.
Training Program Details
The training program consists of 40 hours of specific training in Mammography, which includes the following topics: Positioning/Compression Physiology, Breast Anatomy, QA/QC, and Breast Implants. You will also have the opportunity to observe a minimum of 25 mammograms before performing exams. Additionally, you will complete image critique with a LIP or designee and participate in a group review of 25 exams with the EQUIP Radiologist group.
Requirements
To be eligible for this training program, you must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and have prior completion of ARRT Structured Education Requirements for Mammography. You must also have current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in x-ray and current State of South Carolina Licensure. Furthermore, you must have current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
Work Environment
You will work under the direct supervision of a Certified Mammography Technologist and will be required to complete 25 supervised patient exams.
