About the Role

Corbion is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team in Totowa, NJ. This is a full-time position that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work accurately and methodically.

Job Description
  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSMA, Safety, and Environmental regulations as well as company policies.
  • Reconfigure pallets by picking multiple ingredients in the warehouse and re-stacking the full units of ingredients on different pallets.
  • Weigh out various types of raw materials less than a full pack size according to formula, using a scoop to transfer weight from one container to another.
  • Work diligently to achieve KPIs in specific areas set by supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction, teamwork, and quality productivity.
  • Participate in training and meetings, and engage in process improvements to enhance workplace safety, efficiency, and customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mathematical and Communication Skills: Basic math skills and the ability to read formulas and SOPs are essential.
  • Operational Experience: Previous experience in performing electronic transactions due to physical movements of ingredients across the production facility is desired.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to drive a forklift, preferably stand-up style.
  • Physical Demands: Capacity to physically re-stack pallets with ingredients up to 55 pounds each.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication skills, including over two-way radio, and willingness to work second or third shift with occasional weekend shifts and overtime hours as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The manufacturing plant has large, open floor areas with loud machinery, requiring hearing protection in some areas.
  • Workers are frequently exposed to high temperatures during the summer months and cold environments during winter months.
  • Production/Warehouse areas can be dusty, and personal protective equipment such as dust masks, hair nets, beard nets, or gloves may be worn.
  • Certain activities require respirators.
  • Employees usually stand for most of their shifts, lift maximum 55-pound units (boxes/bags), and perform climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $45,000-$60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Corbion offers a dynamic work environment, informal atmosphere, and culture that promotes self-management.
