Forklift Operator II Job Description

At FedEx Supply Chain, we are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator II to join our team. As a Forklift Operator II, you will be responsible for safely operating complex powered material handling equipment to receive, store, and fulfill orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate powered material handling equipment, including Order Pickers, Turrets, and Drexels, to move products throughout the warehouse.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of all transactions.
  • Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, using hand or equipment.
  • Sort, build, and wrap product to pallets to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate storage locations through daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience with daily power equipment operations preferred.
  • Ability to operate powered material handling equipment and work at extended heights.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service driven and strong team player.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:

  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Ability to sit, walk, or stand for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push, or pull.
