Job Responsibilities

The Emergency Center is a level 1 trauma center with 65 beds, including an 8-bed pediatric emergency area. As a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nurse Assistant, you will be responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of a nurse. Your duties will include:

  • Observing patients and recording vital signs
  • Performing EKGs and other diagnostic tests
  • Reporting changes in patient conditions to the nursing team
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Completed a Nurse Aide course and hold a current certification
  • Maintained a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Alternatively, if you are a nursing student with approximately one quarter of your nursing curriculum completed, or have at least one year of previous hospital Nurse Aide experience, you may also be eligible for this role.
