Role Overview

Job Description

The High School Science Education Specialist will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective science curriculum and instructional strategies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for science education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse student populations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that our students receive a world-class science education and are prepared for success in college and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective science curriculum and instructional strategies aligned with state and national standards;
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to design and deliver professional development opportunities focused on science education;
  • Provide coaching and support to teachers to improve their science instruction and student outcomes;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and inform instruction;
  • Contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives, and help to monitor progress towards these goals;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred;
  • 3+ years of experience in science education, including teaching and/or leadership roles;
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes and teacher effectiveness;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with teachers, staff, and students;
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with disabilities and English language learners;
  • Familiarity with educational technology and data analysis tools;
Salary Information

The salary range for this role is $50,000-$64,700 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
