Concrete Surface Specialist

A competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year is offered for this position at GR Birdwell Construction.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Concrete Surface Specialist. Reporting to the Superintendent/Foreman, you will be responsible for carrying out assignments related to concrete placement, finishing, curing, and cutting.

Your primary duties will include:

• Executing Finisher Work: Participate in the execution and completion of finisher work, including establishing finish grade during the pour of slabs, performing concrete placement and finish, patching and repairing concrete work, and applying floor toppings.
• Maintaining Floor Finishes: Ensure floor finishes meet project requirements consistent with FF/FL terminology.
• Operating Tools and Equipment: Be proficient in the use of various tools and equipment, including straight edges, bull floats, mops, hand tools, single and double trowel machines, and vibratory equipment.

You will also be expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of all required tools and equipment, ensure proper maintenance of place/finish equipment and tools, and perform other duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you must be willing to work in all kinds of weather and working conditions, assume physical risks associated with outdoor work, and exert physical effort handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds.

In addition, you must be able to pass a hair follicle drug screen and background check.
