The Procurement Specialist (Supply Chain Manager) is a pivotal role at Hyundai Mobis, responsible for efficiently managing the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.
About the Role:
This position requires an individual with exceptional organizational and analytical skills, able to understand complex technical issues in production and utilize critical thinking to determine root causes and develop effective solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling them to accurately convey detailed information and extract data from systems to analyze trends and report findings in a logical manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue purchase orders to assigned suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and order accuracy
- Notify suppliers of open order status, coordinate shipping processes, and manage emergency parts orders
- Communicate with suppliers regarding performance, develop countermeasures for improvement, and prepare them for Overage, Shortage, and Damaged (OS&D) goods
- Manage accounts payable for suppliers, address payment inquiries, and enforce existing contracts based on OEM agreements
- Assist new suppliers with expectations for order management and communication, access to the AMOS portal, and required shipping documents
- Confirm supply part and unit for new model launches and OP parts released, review supply fill rate, critical backorder parts, due-in parts, and past-due parts
- Dispatch supplier information to the sales group and assist suppliers, pricing teams, and Mobis RDC with technical inquiries and issues
- Visit suppliers regularly or hold phone conferences to develop strong working relationships, understand their operations, and constraints
Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with applicable work experience; may consider Associate's degree if field of study is relevant and there is relevant work experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Organizational and analytical skills; ability to understand technical issues in production
- Critical thinking for determining root causes and developing solutions/countermeasures
- Good written and verbal communication skill; ability to accurately convey detailed information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Salary:
$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
Work Environment:
Full-time position, 100% in-office setting, with occasional domestic and international travel.
