Corporate Accounting Leader

As a key member of our team, the Assistant Corporate Controller will play a critical role in driving financial excellence and strategic decision-making. This individual will lead the Corporate Accounting Team, overseeing financial reporting, month-end close accounting, and technical accounting.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Corporate Accounting Team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the Practice Accounting team to drive month-end close process efficiency.
- Develop and document technical accounting conclusions for various transactions, from simple to complex.
- Work closely with the FP&A team to understand and communicate financial results.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of Corporate and consolidated results monthly.
- Collaborate with the Treasury team on quarterly lender reporting and covenant compliance.
- Evaluate financial and operational process changes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Serve as an accounting resource for the Corporate and Practice Accounting teams.
- Assume primary responsibility for coordinating the Company's external audit, including timelines, managing the auditors, and overseeing the completion of the Company's US GAAP based consolidated financial statements.
- Develop, coordinate, communicate, and enforce financial reporting policies, procedures, and controls across the accounting organization.
- Collaborate across multiple departments, including accounting, strategic finance, operations, legal, business development, etc.
- Drive automation of financial and operational reporting processes.
- Minimum 8 years of accounting leadership experience in a public accounting or corporate accounting environment, with a commanding knowledge of accounting.
- Prior experience within a Big Four or large regional accounting firm required.
- Proven knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC regulations.
- Knowledge of internal accounting controls, industry practices, and the ability to research and document complex accounting and financial topics.
- Ability to think on their feet in meetings and provide real-time solutioning and brainstorming.
- Comfortable professionally debating potential solutions and a demonstrated willingness to listen and provide multiple accounting alternatives to address requests.
- Proven ability to manage and develop accounting talent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and Word. Workday experience a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required.
- Active CPA license required.
