About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Alameda Health System. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the patient care performed by certified nursing assistants (CNAs). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing individualized nursing care and be able to establish priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate admission, discharge and transfer of residents
  • Make Resident rounds every two hours to assess physical and emotional status and to initiate any required nursing interventions
  • Perform nursing evaluations regarding the health status of the resident
  • Accurately report and document the Resident's symptoms, responses and status
  • Select and institute appropriate nursing intervention that might be required to stabilize a resident's condition and/or prevent complications
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate of an approved LVN/LPN program
  • Minimum one year of directly related experience
  • Valid license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of California
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
