Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Technician to join our team in Ridgeland, SC. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with individuals who require behavioral therapy and support. As a Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for implementing behavior management programs, establishing therapeutic relationships, and collaborating with treatment teams to ensure effective behavior management techniques.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $20-$24 per hour. In addition, we offer a $500 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior management programs consistently for individuals served.
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with individuals served.
  • FOLLOW THE TREATMENT PLAN GOALS AND INTERVENTIONS UTILIZING SOUND JUDGMENT AND SEES OUT APPROPRIATE CONSULTATION.
  • Collaborate with families and treatment teams to provide effective behavior management techniques without disrupting the environment or other individuals.
  • Educate parents/guardians on reinforcement and intervention information when requested.
  • Promote safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
  • Review progress objectively using behavior analytic methods, identify solutions to barriers, and make recommendations to supervisors and behavior analysts as needed.
  • Accurately collect behavior data, including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval-based recording as needed.
  • Ensure all documentation, both staff and individual-related, is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete incident reports as required by agency policy and procedure.
  • Review daily updates for individuals served, implement programs, and train staff on implementation.
  • Ensure proper implementation and retraining as needed by routinely communicating with staff.
  • Schedule and prepare leisure activities to keep individuals engaged and active during non-therapy sessions.
  • Attend clinical meetings as assigned, such as access review meetings, clinical team meetings, progress conferences, etc.
  • Responsible for providing up-to-date residential status of participants and identifying problem areas affecting the participant.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Applied Behavior Analysis experience preferred.
  • RBT Credential preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly.
  • A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance.
