Outpatient Program Therapist Position Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Outpatient Program Therapist to join our team at Gulfport Behavioral Health System. As an Outpatient Program Therapist, you will plan, provide, coordinate, document, and evaluate direct and indirect social services to adult and adolescent IOP/PHP patients in accordance with established methods and procedures of the hospital. Your responsibilities will include conducting individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management, treatment planning, rounding with clinical staff, discharge/care planning, and follow-up, as well as resource development/assistance.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field. Preferably, you should have a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility or outpatient setting, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills. Strong clinical assessment skills are a must. An LCSW, LMSW, or LPC license to practice in the State of Mississippi is preferred. Additionally, you must obtain CPR certification and CPI certification (management of aggressive behavior training) within 90 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
