Role Overview

We're seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our practice onsite, Monday through Friday. As a Medical Assistant, you'll work autonomously to the top of your education and certification while being part of a collaborative team. You'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with your assigned provider and rotate or cross-cover occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient patient flow through the office
  • Assist during office visits, including rooming, examinations, point-of-care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed
  • Perform clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management, such as phone calls, test results, prescription refills, and coordination of care
  • Maintain neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
  • Interact with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program or active EMT-B certification required
  • CMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from a program approved by the American Heart Association required
  • One (1) year technical/vocational training school program or one (1) to three (3) years experience as a medical assistant preferred
