Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Deputy Field Response Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining close working relationships with other organizations within the company and with customers to deliver comprehensive schedules and project plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Drive the adherence to processes and procedures for all engineers supporting the contract, ensuring major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across functional groups.
  • Communication and Coordination: Identify, communicate, and coordinate technical issues and drive technical issues to closure, serving as a signature authority for the Systems Engineering and Integration Technical Team on engineering releases.
  • Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems, and manage engineering expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshooting, and modifying products in accordance with customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 14 years of experience in engineering, or a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 12 years of experience in engineering, or a PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 9 years of experience in engineering.
  • Clearance: Active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Program Access: Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in technical problem-solving, to include root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring, and proven demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills along with proven success working in an integrated product team environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders, and active Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).
