We are seeking a skilled Clinic Patient Representative Senior to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Greets and directs patients and visitors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff, facilitating effective communication and resolving issues.
- Assists with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, and collecting payments.
- Maintains accurate patient records and ensures that information is up-to-date and secure.
- Provides administrative support, including answering phones, taking messages, and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborates with front office lead/supervisor to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and address any issues that may arise.
- Follows CHRISTUS Health guidelines related to HIPAA and maintains strict confidentiality.
- Communicates effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and respectful experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of managed care and ICD9/CPT coding preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Three or more years of experience in a healthcare organization, with a focus on patient services and support.
