Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to lead our quantum computing research and development efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, coordination, risk management, technical oversight, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the execution of complex research and development projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement technical strategies for advancing quantum computing initiatives.
  • Provide programmatic guidance and expertise to the team to support problem-solving and decision-making processes.
  • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessment to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetary constraints.
  • Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and reporting on project progress and achievements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in program management methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation to ensure clarity and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and an innovative mindset.
  • Prior experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Git, Jira, Microsoft Project, and SmartSheet.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or other technical domain.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or related certification.
  • Working knowledge of quantum computing concepts, principles, and technologies.
  • Prior experience transitioning first-of-a-kind prototypes to production products.
  • Prior experience leading academic grants and/or federal/government contracts.
Location:

This is a hybrid role, and you will be expected to be onsite at our location a few times a week.

The approximate base salary range for this position is $123,191 - $161,289. The base pay component of the offer will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
