Echocardiograph Technologist

Job Summary:

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Echocardiograph Technologist to support patient care across our four Baltimore Hospital locations. This is a PRN, Weekend Day Shift position that requires travel between multiple cardiology sites as needed. The ideal candidate will be a registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with demonstrated effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in quality assurance programs to maintain lab certification

Ensure equipment and supplies are available by coordinating preventive maintenance programs and ordering necessary supplies

Assist in coordinating patient care with clinical staff by reviewing the patient schedule and ensuring appropriate support is available

Maintain log of patient data and stored images by entering correct patient demographic information and archiving studies

Send diagnostic reports or study copies when required to ensure timely communication of patient data

Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies on patients, including M-mode and two-dimensional and stress echocardiograms, by following ICAEL guidelines

Prepare preliminary diagnostic reports by compiling relevant measurements and data to provide a summary report for physician review and interpretation

Requirements:

Associate degree with a concentration in computer science or 1-3 years formal job-related training

5-7 years' experience post-graduation in echo cardiology

RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) Adult Echocardiography - ARDMS-AE

CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
