Diagnostic Imaging Specialists utilize ultrasound technology to capture diagnostic images of internal organs. Their key responsibilities include preparing patients, explaining procedures, operating ultrasound equipment, analyzing images, and reporting findings to physicians. Additionally, they ensure proper maintenance and calibration of ultrasound machines, educate patients on the process, and address concerns.

Requirements:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
