Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Technical Designer, Men's to join our team. This role is responsible for creating detailed Tech Packs, executing initial styles from design handoff through production, and ensuring precise communication of design specifications to factories and vendors. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience in technical design, a bachelor's degree in technical design or fashion design, and extensive patternmaking and draping skills. Proficiency in Gerber Accumark, Google software, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PLM is required. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess superior organizational skills, excellent time management, and excellent communication skills. Our ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Google software, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM tools.

Responsibilities
The Assistant Technical Designer, Men's, will be responsible for:
- Creating detailed Tech Packs to ensure precise communication of design specifications to factories and vendors
- Executing initial styles from design handoff through production, adhering to aesthetic requirements and sketches
- Measuring and examining samples with specifications against requests at all stages to prepare for scheduled fittings
- Providing technical direction on matters pertaining to specs, pattern, construction methods, and techniques to improve fit, balance, and overall quality of garments within company calendar deadlines
- Ensuring that all products conform to company standards and brand values, aiming for high-end quality
- Ensuring grading, fit consistency, and key measurement standard across all styles and product categories
- Participating in weekly fit sessions, collaborating with designers and merchants to translate fit and aesthetic details
- Anticipating and resolving any problems with the fit process, partnering with vendors as necessary
- Working closely with Technical Design leaders to enhance and evolve processes and procedures, driving to elevate the quality of products
- Translating design intent into prototype samples with vendor partners
- Providing fit comments with pattern corrections, illustration sketches, and construction feedback to confirm fit and design intent
- Conducting risk assessment processes with Production teams to mitigate risk in bulk production
- Approving construction samples, mockups, and bulk swatch/production

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 0-3 years of experience in technical design
- A bachelor's degree in technical design or fashion design
- Extensive patternmaking and draping skills with knowledge of garment construction
- Contemporary/high-end brand experience preferred
- Menswear experience preferred
- Proficiency in Gerber Accumark, Google software, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM tools
- Superior organizational skills and excellent time management
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of POM and proficiency in Google software, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM tools.

Estimated Salary Range
$55,000 - $65,000 per year
