About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Brook & Whittle Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks to repair and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems for production equipment.
  • Supervise maintenance contractors as needed and maintain a Maintenance Action Log to track individual repairs and serve as a baseline for future preventive maintenance.
  • Participate in startup and shutdown activities, assist with Shutdown Task planning and scheduling, and work with vendors/OEM to obtain parts pricing and repair recommendations.
  • Incorporate safe practices while completing assigned maintenance work order activities and maintain the Maintenance Department work area.
  • Comply with all Company, Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations in regard to Health, Safety, and the Environment.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline or a minimum of 5 years in Industrial Maintenance in a manufacturing setting, with electrical experience preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC's, instrumentation, and other electronics, with a willingness to learn and attend training classes as defined by Management.
  • PC literacy and proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), as well as working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and procedures.
  • Basic Welding Skills a plus, with familiarity with OSHA and Environmental Regulations.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work a flexible working schedule, including shift work, with the ability to push, pull, bend, and/or lift up to 75 lbs.
