Project Manager for Large-Scale Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage field activities of our construction projects based out of Williston, Vermont.

Job Overview

This position will ensure contract requirements are met while adhering to safety, budget, and schedule goals. You will manage self-perform work, plan, coordinate, and supervise DEW employees and subcontractors on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preconstruction process by developing and implementing project start-up plans and assisting with project buy-out & scheduling.
  • Provide daily oversight of construction projects, create site logistics plans, and schedule sequences of activities to ensure resource allocation.
  • Implement QA/QC programs, including job site safety, risk mitigation, and job hazard analysis.
  • Ensure job site operations comply with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain effective dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, and subcontractor relations.
  • Run weekly project and subcontractor meetings.
  • Promote positive subcontractor relations through professional dealings and instilling this philosophy in the project team.
  • Oversee budget management, cost control, and invoice review.
  • Assist with RFIs, Submittals, and change orders as necessary.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of Construction Management experience, including proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications.
  • Experience building ground-up Healthcare, Commercial, Education, Industrial, and Retail projects. Wood-framed construction experience is an advantage.
  • Good written and communication skills, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Organizational/management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
  • Keen attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software (CMiC, P6 Scheduling a plus).
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Completed projects valued at $10 million or more.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certification; 30-Hour OSHA preferred.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
