Job Title: Chemical Operator, Lithium Refinery

Tesla's in-house Lithium Refinery is a critical component of our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. We are seeking highly skilled Chemical Operators to join our team and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our process systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality control sampling and equipment monitoring to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards, and follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Provide initial response to unplanned events to minimize the impact on personnel, the environment, and equipment.
  • Monitor and record pressure, temperature, and other process conditions using equipment and instrumentation.
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge of a safe and proficient Chemical Operator in a 24/7 continuous refinery environment.
  • Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform frequent bending and lifting, and wear required PPE for extended periods.
  • Pass pulmonary function tests and physical exam for respirator use, and be prepared to participate in a fit test program.
  • Able to successfully work on a rotating shift schedule.
  • Command of the English language, both written and verbal.
