Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team at Insight Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing extract workloads in Azure Data Factory, building dimensional and tabular models to support data and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and establish data models and supporting the tools and methods of populating data into transactional databases, data warehouses, data marts, or other data repositories.
  • Establish and support reporting toolsets and frameworks.
  • Provide operational support and incident/problem management including logging, instrumentation, analysis, and implementation of process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the business to oversee the visualization of data and report generation to meet various needs.
  • Coordinate with other IT teams to configure and implement security, monitoring, tooling, and related capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10 years' experience developing data-related solutions and software, with strong Data Warehousing experience.
  • Experience of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) and Extract/Load/Transform (ELT) tools, including both batch and real-time data transmission applications such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Kafka, Spark, MuleSoft, or equivalent software.
  • Experience of database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience of multiple programming languages, such as C#, Java, Python, SQL, Scala, or similar.
  • Experience with Git Hub or other source control.
