Salary and BenefitsThis role offers an estimated annual salary range of $59,328 to $71,472, based on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
The expected base rate for this role is between $28.40 per hour and $32.40 per hour, with overtime compensation included. Additionally, you will receive a retention bonus and benefits such as health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
Job DescriptionSafely Drive Trucks and Meet Scheduled Delivery Times: As a Class A Truck Driver at US Foods, you will be responsible for safely driving trucks to customers and meeting scheduled delivery times.
Unload Products and Verify Accuracy: You will carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place them in designated customer storage areas, verifying accuracy with customers and obtaining proper signatures.
Handle Collections and Perform Customer Service: This role requires handling collections and payments from customers when applicable and performing professional customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience.
Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Equipment Inspections: You will also be responsible for performing all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
