Job Summary

The Emergency Department Nurse will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and coordinate discharge planning. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Coordinate discharge planning with members of the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
