As a Child Care Attendant, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 6 months to 13 years. Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, families, and coworkers
  • Maintaining control of a group of children, numbering no greater than 15 per staff
  • Enforcing all policies and procedures with parents and children of the child care area
  • Knowledgeable of and able to apply positive reinforcement techniques and verbal discipline techniques
  • Demonstrating self-control with difficult children
  • Establishing age-appropriate activities
  • Placing customer service as the highest priority
  • Effectively following all hospital policies and procedures
  • Meets expectations in regards to regular attendance and punctuality when scheduled to work

Requirements for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR and First Aid certification within 2 months of employment
  • 1 year experience in a child care setting
