Hospitality Division Controller

As a key member of the Landry's Corporate Office team, you will utilize your accounting expertise to support the personal assets of Fertitta Hospitality and other acquisitions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing office lease accounts, ensuring timely billing and collection of funds, and preparing financial statements on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinating with the Oracle system to balance intercompany accounts, prepare profit and loss statements, and roll up financial data into the parent company for bank compliance certifications.
  • Creating an annual lease budget and inputting it into the leasing/Oracle system.
  • Preparing monthly cash forecasts and debt payment wire requests.
  • Recording and reporting on capital expenditures for new projects.

You will have advanced knowledge of accounting principles, lease accounting, and tax laws, including FASB standards, sales & use tax, W-9, 1099, revenue recognition, accruals, and pre-paids. Additionally, you will:

  • Review daily cash collections against leasing income journal entries.
  • Assist with late payment collections from tenants.
  • Record capital expenditures and distribute a report with budget to actual variance on a monthly basis.
  • Review and ensure proper coding of A/P invoices, including use tax.
  • Maintain a current listing of contracts, permits, licenses, leases, and other legal or financial records.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA certification, or equivalent experience.
