Senior Architects are expected to lead through technical contribution. They are individual contributors who significantly impact our trajectory and devise clear roadmaps to deliver next-generation technology solutions. You will operate as a trusted advisor for key technologies, platforms, and capability domains, creating clear and concise communications, code samples, blog posts, and other material to share knowledge both inside and outside the organization. You will specialize in a particular subject area but have your input and impact sought and expected throughout the organization.

About the Team: The Card Core Data Architecture team is modernizing the entire data ecosystem of Capital One's credit card core through data standardization and build out of Data Products across Streaming, API, data Lake, and data warehouse platforms. As a member of the data architecture team, you will have the opportunity to architect this modernized platform from the ground up, starting with real-time integration of billions of events on a daily basis that drives real-time data access, and near real-time analytics for our internal and external customers.

About You
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in data architecture or enterprise architecture.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in database management, Data Lake, or data warehouse.
  • You have at least 5 years of public cloud experience (AWS, Microsoft, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • You have at least 2 years of experience building real-time data products and data streaming applications.
About the Location

This role is available in New York City (Hybrid On-Site) with a salary range of $274,800 - $313,600 per year. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. This role also includes eligibility for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
