Sterile Processing Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Supervisor to join our team at SolutionHealth. As a key member of our Surgical Services department, you will be responsible for monitoring and directing sterile processing staff, managing the day-to-day activities of instrument processing, and ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of high-quality standards in the Sterile Processing Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carries out sterile processing functions, including collecting used supplies for decontamination, packaging instruments and equipment, and sterilizing instruments using manufacturer's instructions.
  • Participates in the monitoring/control of OR inventory and collaborates with the manager in the hiring, evaluating, training, and counseling of staff.
  • Supervises day-to-day operations to maintain productivity and adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Requires three to five years of progressive Sterile Processing Department experience and Sterile Processing Certification within one year of hire.
  • Specialty certification through IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management) is preferred.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 2:30-11 PM, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts.
