Job Summary


As a key member of the Adventist Health team, the Outpatient Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring outpatient nutrition counseling services.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide nutrition assessment and screening, develop and implement nutrition and diet plans, and counsel patients on healthy eating habits.
  • Complete progress notes, serve as a liaison, and provide documentation in the medical record to clients' personal physicians.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition and diet trends to provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Mentor and train staff on technical skills and best practices.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required; master's degree required for eligibility for examination beginning on or after January 1, 2024.
  • Experience as a clinical dietitian preferred.
  • Dietetic internship or equivalent required.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required.
  • Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required.
