EMT-Basic / EMT-B

Special Events – Chicagoland Area

The Opportunity:

We are seeking Full & Part-time Special Event EMTs to provide on-site medical care to large crowds at various events, such as concerts and sporting events. As an EMT-Basic, you will be responsible for maintaining your composure in extremely stressful situations to assess medical situations and perform emergency lifesaving procedures.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide pre-hospital patient care as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
  2. Respond to emergency medical situations and provide care that coincides with the Region XI Standing Medical Orders and level of training.
  3. Assess a patient's condition and determine a course of treatment.
  4. Administer medications as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
  5. Perform basic or advanced life support measures as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Hold an Illinois Department of Public Health Licensure as a EMT-Basic.
  • Have a current CPR card.
  • Successfully pass the Region XI CNEMS EMT-Basic System Entry process.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Consent to a criminal background check.
  • Be able to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs.
