Caregiver for Adults with Disabilities

The Price Center, a non-profit human service organization, is seeking a dedicated Caregiver for Adults with Disabilities to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
About the RoleThis position involves supporting adults with disabilities in a day habilitation setting, focusing on activities that promote gross/fine motor skills, communication, social engagement, and independence. As a Caregiver, you will provide direct care and skill training to help individuals develop daily living and social skills.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a day habilitation setting.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), toileting, and feeding as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote independence and self-advocacy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to lift and support the body weight of program participants with assistance from another employee, as needed.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and willingness to use agency vehicle in the course of employment.
- Competitive salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience.
