Phlebotomy Technician

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for the collection and processing of biological specimens in a laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and process biological specimens for testing

Ensure accurate and timely processing of specimens

Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of a phlebotomy program or equivalent experience

Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Knowledge of medical terminology

Additional related education and/or experience

Work Environment:

This role may be located within a hospital facility, patient service center, in-office phlebotomy, or mobile diagnostic services. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible with scheduling.
