Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Quality to lead and elevate our Quality Department, ensuring that every product we create meets our standards from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory compliance in a dietary supplement manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership Role
    • Lead the Quality Department across all Herb Pharm facilities, including HQ in Williams, OR; Pacific Botanicals in Grants Pass, OR; Herb Pharm Operations in Central Point, OR; and Mushroom Harvest in Sequim, WA.
  • Quality Standards
    • Establish and maintain quality and reliability standards that meet or exceed industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management
    • Manage team members to ensure the identity, purity, strength, composition, and limits on contamination of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes and procedures to increase quality, efficiency, and effectiveness, in partnership with internal teams and industry associations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field, or a Master's degree or higher preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a consumer-packaged goods manufacturing or supplements environment, with at least two years of experience leading quality audits.
  • Expert knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, 111, and 117, and 7 CFR 205 as it pertains to a dietary supplement manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Office365, database management, presentation development, and word processing software.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure reflects a comprehensive compensation package that includes a competitive base salary, bonus structure, and excellent benefits.
