Role Description

Snapology, a leading Children's Enrichment franchise in the country, is seeking a highly skilled STEM Instructor. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to teach engaging programs that promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills for children aged 2-14.

Responsibilities
  • Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities, promoting interactive learning and hands-on experience.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with established rules and procedures, creating a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Encourage and monitor individual student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet their diverse needs.
  • Adequately prepare for each program by reviewing curriculum, watching training videos, or participating in face-to-face sessions.
  • Handle parent inquiries regarding Snapology programs, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Encourage students and parents to enroll in future Snapology programs, fostering a sense of community and lifelong learning.
Qualifications
  • Criminal and Child Clearances must be current.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
  • Education degree or teaching experience recommended; teachers pursuing a degree in education may also be considered.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are essential for this role.
Programs and Schedule

This part-time position typically involves working between 6-30 hours per week, depending on candidate availability and seasonal demands. You may be required to work weekday after-school and evening classes, weekend workshops and birthday parties, summer camps, and special events during holidays and breaks.

Estimated salary: $25-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
