Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Job Summary:

As a key member of the All Med Search team, we're seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Prepare room, equipment, medicine and materials as needed for patients.
  • Clean and disinfect CT room and equipment.
  • Observe proper radiation safety techniques on all exams.
  • Prepare Barium preparation and other CT contrast mixtures for procedures.
  • Prepare patient for CT exam, explain procedures, transfer patient to table, position patient and assist patient at the end of the procedure.
  • Process image in accordance with industry standards and techniques.
  • Follow prescribed techniques in administering CT procedure/exam (adjust equipment; determine proper KVP & mA, position patient, adjust lead shield and select proper scanning parameters).
  • Observe patient and machine during procedure and report unusual occurrences and record patient's condition.
  • Maintain stock supplies and perform general office duties (i.e., proper charge codes, procedures completed).
  • Inspect and report equipment/room for any malfunctions within shift.
  • Transport patients as necessary.
  • Take call as required.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the AVP/Director and or Imaging Manager/Supervisor/Lead Tech.
  • Perform all CT procedures on patients between the ages of infancy to geriatric.
  • Participate in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to department staff, students, volunteers and other departments, and contribute to the teamwork essential to ensuring quality patient care.
  • Take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Efficiently operate the PACS.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our patients, visitors, staff and co-workers.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing for Urine HCG and Creatinine. Calculate GFR.
  • Lab draws as necessary.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services.
  • Complete educational activities as assigned.
  • Follow proper procedure for infection control.

Requirements:

  • Current License American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R)(CT). If associate does not hold advanced certification, associate shall obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Recent acute care experience in specialty.
  • Current Texas license Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification.
