The Water Resources department at AKRF, Inc. seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Management Specialist to join our 2025 summer internship program. This position will be based in our Pittsburgh, PA office and will provide valuable experience in green stormwater management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning, designing, and developing water resources projects focusing on green infrastructure solutions.
  • Assist in preparing engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for GSI projects.
  • Conduct site assessments, stormwater BMP inspections, and field data collection.
  • Support the permitting process by preparing reports and documentation compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • An accredited STEM bachelor's degree or graduate program.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Initiative and ability to take on new projects and challenges regularly.
  • Dependability and eagerness to take ownership of tasks.

Compensation: The salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
