Job Summary:

This is a Full-time Float position; 40 hrs./week. Monday - Friday Day Shift, Sites Vary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques producing images at the request of and for interpretation by licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians and their staffs and fellow employees while maintaining the best possible patient workflow and throughput at all times.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique.
  • Independently perform or assist in the completion of radiographic procedures.
  • Apply principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others.

Requirements:

  • High school degree plus completion of a course of study in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and successful completion of the national certification exam.
  • Certification must be completed within 6 months of date of hire.
  • Must remain in good standing with ARRT and maintain 24 credits per 2-year cycle with 1 credit being in radiation protection.
  • Must have current license for radiologic technologist from Rhode Island Department of Health.
